My name is David Blyth, I am a mature, responsible and very hardworking individual, who always strives to achieve the highest standard possible in everything I do, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written, I have the ability to relate to wide range of people from all walks of life. I am a confident and very enthusiastic individual who is always keen to learn, I also have the ability to work effectively within a team and the initiative to handle extremely difficult situations in very arduous conditions.
I am currently the Managing Director of my own IT company, Micro Genie (www.microgenie.co.uk) which I started in 1999, after selling my previous company DesRes Property Management Ltd.
Before starting DesRes Property Management Ltd, I was a Police Officer with the Thames Valley Police for three years and before that I was a British Soldier in Her Majesty’s Forces in the Corps of Royal Engineers for eleven years.
In the Queens Birthday Honours List 1983 at the age of 26 I was awarded the British Empire Medal for service in the Falklands in 1982 and back in 1980 at the age of 23 I was awarded the Haynes Medal, the Haynes Medal was presented annually to the NCO who came top of the Cadre Course run by the Royal Engineers Training Brigade.
